The antenna of the radar level gauge emits high-frequency radar waves (electromagnetic waves) towards the surface of the liquid being measured. These radar waves propagate in space at the speed of light, with frequencies typically ranging from 26GHz to 78GHz, depending on the model of the radar level gauge. For instance, the GRAEFF GSR series radar level gauge employs the 78GHz millimeter-wave band. This high-frequency radar wave enables more precise positioning and higher resolution. 

 

信号反射Signal reflection

When radar waves encounter the surface of a liquid, due to the difference in dielectric constants between air and liquid, the radar waves will be reflected. Part of the energy is returned to the antenna, and the intensity of the reflected signal depends on the dielectric constant and surface state of the liquid. For the GSR series radar level gauge, its beam Angle is less than 3°, which can effectively reduce interference. At the same time, it performs well in measuring small tanks and complex working conditions.

Enable the near-field suppression function to reduce close-range interference.

Adjust the installation position or Angle of the radar level gauge and optimize the signal reflection path.

 

2. 空罐时液位显示异常

原因分析

天线或天线附近积垢,影响信号的正常发射和接收。

解决方案

清洁天线,去除积垢。如果积垢难以清除,可能需要更换天线。

2.The liquid level display is abnormal when the tank is empty
